As the construction heat of the urban metro system in some big cities in China, to import the metro system to the railway station, thus the two transport systems can divide the work and cooperate at the same time and form the integrative traffic system. This is the develop trend of the city traffic system in future. The introduction of the urban metro system can not only change the traffic function, function structure and space organization of the railway station, but also the more important side is that it can promote the improvement of the urban efficiency and the full play of the whole railway efficiency. Therefore, to explore the high-efficiency transfer mode between the metro system and the railway station, and to make the passenger able to transfer between these two transportation tools with shortest time and distance is a new task for architect. Due to Zero Distance Transfer is quite a new conception in our country, the transfer space design in the big stations is still in the stage of fumbling, therefore, this will be the content of the research. According as the development trend of the traffic route of railway stations in our country, aiming at the current defects and limitations, using for reference of the international advanced theory and conception, combining with the actual situation of our country and analyzing the existing contradictions and problems, and going to make the discuss on the transfer mode and basic principle of the high-efficiency transferring space.This paper is divided with 5 sections:Chapter 1 introduced the impact on the railway station that the importing of the urban metro system has produced, and analyzed the meaning of the efficient transfer. It is set as the research background of the whole paper.Chapter 2 looked back the development of the traffic route of railway stations in our country, and analyzed the existing defections of the transferring space of the railway station.Chapter 3 introduced the new transferring mode and design theory by combining with the classic cases in foreign countries, and used the transfer connection between the airport buildings and the metro system for reference.Chapter 4 pointed out the target and principle of transfer connection between the metro system and the railway station, analyzed the current transfer mode, raised suggestions for the transferring space design of the railway station from the following parts: the high-efficiency of transferring traffic route design, the transferring space layout and the identification and guidance of transferring space.Chapter 5 introduced several big and infusive railway stations under construction in China.
