Study On Planing And Design Of Rural Landscape In Hilly Region Of Southern China

The thesis is to grope for the mode of planning and design of the rural landscape in hilly region of southern China, which will be fit for the local specific situation. Originating from the theories of landscape ecology but not only indiscriminately copying it, the thesis intends to establish a strategy mode and method system for the ecological landscape constructing in hilly region of southern China, with fully considering the local situation of nature, economy and original landscape.Firstly, the thesis analyzes the domestic problems of landscape designs for the rural of China which is in the course of the urbanization, exposits the relevant principles and methods of planning. According to the research and analysis of hilly rural region of southern China, the thesis raises the new mode of rural landscape planning with considering of production, daily life and ecology. As an example, the thesis applies the specific rural landscape planning and design to the village of Wuchuanhu in Changsha, Hunan. Conclusions are as follows:1. The south hills rural landscape four-level classification systems were raised to classify the rural landscape as follow: landscape, landscape category, landscape unit, landscape element. According to the classification systems, the rural landscape of Wuchuanhu can be divided into 3 categories and 10 landscape units. The categories are the natural landscape, semi-natural landscape and artificial landscape. The units are natural forest landscape, hilly grassland landscape, bare landscape, farmland landscape, garden landscape, plantation landscape, village landscape, project landscape, road Landscape, and artificial water landscapes.2. The methods and ideas of the rural landscape designing for the hilly southern area were proposed, and research works were done from the aspects of the farmland landscape, the village landscape, water landscape and others.(1) Advices were proposed to the Wuchuanhu village as follows: marking the slope region with degree of more than 25 of Wuchuanhu as an area of restricted on development, protecting and developing woodland landscape, planting economic plants in the slope area with the degree of less than 25. (2) Protecting and constructing farmland landscape, improving soil fertility, complementing the shortcomings and improving the effects of landscape by inter-planting in winter. (3) Focusing on new settlements with less ground, avoiding human and animal symbiosis, reserving or rebuilding the public places for more communication between residents. (4) Protecting and constructing rural water landscape for more effective functions of production, life and ecology, paying attention to water ecological security, improving aesthetics quality of rural water landscape.3. The South Hills region rural landscape construction mode was raised, which includes of these aspects: three-dimensional ecological agricultural planning mode, the "relative concentration" of rural settlements planning mode, and ecotourism landscape planning mode with the feature of agriculture production, or village humanity and culture, or rural scenery, or rural lie fallow.
