This paper presents an experiment study on mechanical properties and architectural function characteristics of crumb rubber mortar(CRM), and have important theoretical value and practical engineering .The main research contents and test results of this dissertation are summarized as follows:1. An experiment study on the influence of size and dosage of rubber on the strength of CRM and of RPP on the properties of CRM. In addition,this paper probes into the function mechanism of RPP on CRM.The test results show that, with the increasing dosage of rubber, the compressive strength and flexural strength of CRM decreases and the size of rubber has a great effect on the properties of CRM .This indicates that the rubber has the best scope of dosage and the best size. There is certain improvement of strength properties of CRM by RPP, and the different diameter rubber has different effect, and need to acquire the further research and exploration.2. A research study on the influence of RPP and superplacticister on the strength of CRM. The function mechanism of superplacticister and RPPon CRM were also discussed.The results show that in this experiment,there is certain improvement of strength properties of CRM by RPP,and composite superplacticister and RPP have great effect on the strength of CRM.3. Several interfacial modifiers were used in this paper to improve the interface bonding strength between the crumb rubber and matrix and the whole strength of CRM. By means of S.E.M. measurement, the interfacial microstructures of the rubber-matrix was tested. In addition,the function mechanisms of CRM by various interfacial modifiers were discussed.Based on the test results, interfacial modifiers can obviously improve the interface bonding strength between the crumb rubber and matrix and the whole strength of CRM. Silicone modified styrene-acryl ate-emulsion has the best effect.4. In this paper,different compound ratio of the crumb rubber dry-mixing mortar(CRDM),waste rubber aggregate as being aggregate,redispersible polymer powders ,additives A and B etc,are compounded,based on the research of their main properties such as flexibility,bulk density,bonding strength and thermal conductivity. In addition,uniform design was used in mix proportion desigen of CRDM for the first time,and based on the application of different mortar,EIFS—crumb rubber bonding mortar(EIFS—CRBM),EIFS—crumb rubber plastering mortar(EIFS—CRPM)and adhesives for ceramic wall and floor tiles—crumb rubber bonding mortar(CTA—CRBM)were researched ,and test the performance indexes .The results showed that CRDM have many advantages over normal dry powder mortar, such as light bulk density,high bonding strength,good flexibility and low thermal conductivity. The test indexes of three CRDM have meeted standard requirements in optimization test. Including EIFS—CRBM have high tensile bonding strength and excellent thermal insulation performance;EIFS—CRPM have good flexibility,in which EIFS have low water absorption,high impact resistance and excellent impermeability;and CTA—CRBM have good water resistance,aging resistance and freeze-thaw cycle resistance.
