The large power grids of 500kV voltage has been gradually formed form east to west in Shandong Province.This paper analyses the influence on the Shandong Power Grid caused by the geomagnetic storms with the improved plane wave theory combining with a power path of Jinan,Zibo,Weifang,Laoshan and Rizhao system and a specific power grids example. Because of many factors such as magnetic storm,coast effects and topographty,it cannot strictly getted that whether Shandong Power Grid is effected by geomagnetic storms or not. But due to its topographty characteristics,as well as the coastal effect,the possibility of influence is still great when when the strong magnetic storm occurs in Shandong Power Grid. So the great attention shouled be given.According to the conclusion above,this paper also makes a primarily design for the GIC inspect and measure system,which could be as a reference for the practical power work.
