The Study On Virtual Coast Radio Station

With the development of the economy, the vessel traffic grows rapidly, for example, the quantity, the tonnage and the speed. So the safety problem becomes more and more important. GMDSS communication is very important for the safe voyage and the coast radio plays a much important role in it.In this paper, I introduced the actual development of the coast radio in China, and brought forward my view about the development of the coast radio of our country in the future. Also, I gave out the concept of virtual coast radio and made a study of the network of it from the way of theory and practice, according to the promulgated by the Ministry of Communications.This paper talks about it from the aspects as follows:According to the study of the new resolutions of DSC such as ITU-R M493.ll and ITU-R M541.9, I made use of the software to make the virtual coast radio possess the DSC function, and analysed the coding method of DSC by practise.According to the study of the serial port communication and the distilling of the control command of the idiographic coast radio equipment, I decided to make use of the software to control the hardware part of the virtual radio, and put forward the concept of the virtual transformation list by replacing the hardware with the software as much as possible, which is the thought of virtual equipment.Also, I gave out the design method of the Modem of the VHF DSC coast radio according to the development way of the GMDSS industry, that is replace the cosmically whole set production by special part production.Except that, I brought forward the network method of the coast radio by the study of the VOIP communication protocols. We can transmit the radio information by using different protocols, for instance, Voice over VPN is a new way given in this paper which is used to transmit voice. I tested the quality of the communication by the emulator of GMDSS, the effect proved to be very good.The study in this paper aimed at the request of the coast radio development in China. According to the actual status of the coast radio in China and the function brought forward by the layout, I used the method of some namable international manufacturer for reference, and designed the scheme representing my opinion. I hope the implement of the virtual coast radio and its network can effectively guarantee the safety of the coastal vessel communication.
