With the development of social productive forces, the test system functions that the industrialized mass production needs are increasing, but the traditional torque test system, which examine the quality of the control panel for the air-conditioner in the vehicle, was unable to meet the need of the actual test. Therefore, we need to search the breakthrough. Virtual Instrumentation is a new technology accompanied by computer software technology. It avoids the shortcoming of the traditional instrumentation and applies into the torque test to enhance the efficiency of the testing. The new type of test system base on Virtual Instrumentation will become the mainstream of test system in future.This thesis analyse the characteristics of the torque of the knob of the control panel of the vehicle air-condition, and according to the actual needs of the project, the article did the research and design of torque automatic test system based on virtual instrument. This thesis studies the methods of improving the quality of the virtual instrumentation software. Software is the core of virtual instrument and quality is the soul of software. This thesis made a software engineering research on virtual instrument software, at the same time develop traditional text languages into mature programming mode to apply to a dedicated software development platform Virtual Instrument-LabVIEW, and lay a methodology foundation for high-quality virtual instrument software design. This thesis made a module division and the state division of automatic torque test system according to requirement, and realized the design of each module, such as data acquisition, motion control, data management, user management, data storage and so on. A combination of each module with the use of queue state machine design pattern was made to finish the programming work of the complete software. This thesis discussed automatic torque test system and remote monitoring function based on TCP / IP and Web Server technology in LabVIEW. Its realization method is simple and performance is good.The thesis made an overall analysis of the virtual instrument's formation from a whole perspective, the design methodology as well as detailed design and implementation were given, which had certain significance to college and university laboratories or enterprises in setting up of virtual instrument test system.
