| Main highways, as an important constitutional part of our nation's highway traffic, play an increasingly important role in national economy. However, traffic accidents are also threatening people's property and life. So the evaluation of the current safety situation of main highways is necessary and significant for the improvement of the traffic safety.On the basis of the <> and the analysis of the objective factors affecting the traffic safety. My paper constitutes corresponding system of evaluating indictors according to the highway condition, sets up the evaluation approach for the evaluating indictors, puts forward two evaluating models of safety—obscure integrated evaluation ; gray relevant evaluation and fixes up the preliminary safety evaluation of main highways. In addition, my paper's adaptability and reliability have been proved by the safety evaluation of a typical section of a highway in Gansu. My paper brings forward preliminary proposal for polish according to the evaluation results.My paper suggests that the safety evaluation of certain sections of main highways in Gansu is a successful application of the safety evaluating approach. The safety evaluation for main highways is feasible theatrically and exercisable. All the factors I mentioned above can safely arrive at a conclusion that the application of the evaluation approach can improve the safety of main highways. |
