Research On Contemporary City Museum Buildings

After the stage of collection as the center and academics for the authority and education as the centre and professional staff for the authority,the development of museum has entered the new era of experience as the center and the audience for the authority in the new century.Serving for the community will take as the development trend of museum.The transformation of museum's value orientation had a tremendous impact on the museum building design.This article studies construction principals of contemporary city museum.It starts from tracing the origin of the museum,compares the course of museum development at home and abroad,analyzes the trends of contemporary city museum development.It focuses on telling about functions,the choosing of museum buildings location and design principals of contemporary city museum on the basis of "experience".Finally,author proposes a conceptual design for new Xianyang Museum project on "experience" and analysis of historical,cultural and geographical features of the environment.
