This paper investigates the usage of ethics in ancient building, proves the ancient thoughts in dwelling which has effects on tradition maintenance,content limited,building standard and so on.Through the description of Zhang guying buildings,it expresses profound of the Chinese Traditional Culture,manifests the traditional culture system, nationality psychology,the way of thought and ideal of aesthetic appreciation intuitively.This paper takes Zhang guying buildings as a research objects.It indicate some Chinese traditional thoughts,such as the distinction between sexes,difference of humble and noble,nature and man to unite as one etc.ethics.Firstly,outline some ethics thoughts of Zhang guying buildings by studying the growth of background ethics thoughts and elaborating internal logic between buildings and ethics.(Dominant theory that man is an integral part of nature,personalistic ethics and patriarchal clan system of Confucianism).Secondly,the paper analysis 4 aspects of the buildings,which include arrangement,structure,function, decorating from the angle of view of ethics.Regardless the form or function usage,or small decorate of brick,the buildings all be subjected to ethics thoughts at that time,and body ethics of norm and culture function following the morals ethics and environment ethics of thoughts.From studying we can see the tradition of thoughts and ethics play a guiding role in history of China ancient building.As is an essential part in Chinese traditional culture,ethics related with political structure and awareness of aesthetic.This paper thinks back to the developing of modem building,bases on the morale,thinks person and person,person and building,person and building ethics practical problem of society, recalls people pay attention to the effects of Chinese tradition Ethics on Chinese modern building.
