Research On Information Management Technology For Virtual Assembly System

Virtual Assembly (VA) is a new technology that has been widely researched home and abroad. The use of this technology shortens the product development cycle. In VA, information plays an important role. Information is base of virtual environment, Information management directly affects the quality of virtual assembly process, and it is an important link of Virtual assembly system. So, management information is of great significance to establish virtual assembly environment, and promotes the development and application of virtual assembly technology.In this thesis, classification of information and data, as well as how to build assembly system information model which in order to achieve the sources of information and virtual assembly system contact are analyzed. Information Model, in this thesis, not only shows virtual assembly system information needs, but also shows information database relational data model structure Thereby, making CAD System and virtual assembly system of information reuse maybe possible.According to different sources of information, acquisition information will be divided into three forms: based on the CAD system, based on user input, based on intelligent planning algorithm, and according to different methods used by the acquisition information were also discussed. At the same time, through the establishment of the information in the database, all information apply into virtual assembly systems, the application of process can be divided into two parts: the assembly planning information application, the virtual assembly information application, parts of information, tools of information, assembly path information, assembly constraint relations information, assembly sequence, and other information apply to virtual assembly system to support system operation.Finally, use Pro/Engineer of the secondary development Pro/Toolkit development kits, and use Access establish virtual database, and use VC++ 6.0 build the assembly of information management to unify the information management. Use a Pro/Engineer assembly as an example to verify the information management system accuracy and validity.
