Owing to the disadvantages of Semi-rigid Base Asphalt Pavement during usage such as bad drainage and cracking easily, asphalt pavement with flexible base is now restarted to develop in china. Granular base has its property of good drainage, dissipating stress, and preventing reflect crack. To research and apply the flexible pavement structure with graded broken stone base, can enrich our types of asphalt pavements, and improve the field performance of highway. This paper will take shape based on Pu-Nan freeway in FuJian province, Based on research results from both at home and abroad on the basis of the graded gravel in the rainy and wet area were studied.Through a great number of Pu-Nan experiment datas, the pater put forward to the mixture design method, requirement of aggregate, gradation of mixture for dense graded aggregate base. On the base of former study conclusion, we analyze influence factor of the graded broken stone modules of resilience, the CBR value, the plastic deformation, the shearing strength, the coefficient of permeability through the laboratory and field tests. Through the construction of Pu-Nan freeway in FuJian province, the construction technics and the request of quality control are studied. Through summarized and analyzed the investigation data of the field performance of granular base test road, we received the preliminary investigate conclusions. Finally, we analyzed the economic characteristic between the graded broken stone structure and the traditional semi-rigid asphalt pavement structure using the Life-Cycle Cost Analysis.
