Because of its light weight,low building height,high strength,continuous structure,convenience of construction,no-broken joints,etc.Orthotropic steel bridge deck has been widely used by more and more countries recently.Now,it has become the commonly used bridge deck structure in modern long-span steel bridges in the world.In this paper,FEM space models of orthotropic bridge deck are set up. Structural behaviour of orthotropic bridge deck is studyed in detail.According to influencing factors of structural behaviour of orthotropic deck,by changing the coherent parameters,it further quantitatively analyzes the effect of every factor on structural behaviour.In addition,the experimental data of some bridge is selected to make a comparison with analysis results of FEM and it tests the reliability of FEM analysis.Also plan-truss model is established in this paper and made a research on combined action of plan-truss.The results of this paper show that,the transverse strain is about 5 times of the longitudinal strain,load is mainly transferred along transverse direction.The most disadvantaged longitudinal location is in the middle transverse-section of bridge span,where the transverse direction of the most disadvantaged occurs in the place closes to U-rib of central axis.U-ribs,diaphragm spacing and the pavement affect structural behaviour obviously.The truss structure is the main force components,truss structure has been made to increase the bending stiffness of the structure,the board significantly reduces the deformation and stress of the structure.
