A Plan Design And Technical Realization For Remote Monitoring Of Power System

Remote monitoring in Power system comes from automation of power system, because there is a great requirement that plant and transformer stations want less operators. Video technique, computer technique, communication technique and internet technique are used in this system. Remote monitoring system in power system can transmit the video information which is captured on the site to the master station far away from the site, so that the operators on duty in the master station can get the video information far from them easily.The complete design for the system has been shown in this paper, and the main work is shown as fallowing:Firstly, practical requirements of system are analysised, and according to the functions, the whole system design is finished which contain video capture, information transimition and the control software. Different monitoring plans are discussed, and the problem that power system telecommunicate net is too narrow to transmit video information is researched, and the resolution is given out. All above are useful for the engeering design in the future.Secondly, the hardware design of video capture is presented. DM 642 which is manufactrued by TI is used as a controler to keep mass information can be captured and transmited. The whole system is devided into several module like video module, replay module, internet module and etc. All the modules are intruduced in detail.Thirdly, software design. Software environment like CCS, BIOS Configure is introduced, then RF5 software frame and driver module of DM642 is used in programe to finish video function and bottom driver., so the video capture and repaly can be used.Finally, hard disk storage of the system is introduced. After introducing the basic knowledge of hard disk, the IDE and FAT32 are used to fufill storage function. The system can use IDE to write and read from the hard disk in FAT32 format.
