This dissertation focues on the fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) in ship's inertial navigation system(SINS) developed by our laboratory, tests the dynamic characteristic of FOG, filters the dynamic output signal of FOG, and provides methods for evaluate the dynamic characteristic of FOG. The dissertation designs testing methods and gets valuable results, which provide significant theoretical basis for evaluating the dynamic characteristic of FOG and improving the reliability and environmental adaptability.Firstly, the dissertation analyzes the merits and demerits of the existing testing methods of dynamic characteristic of FOG, and the basic working principle and the main performance index of FOG are introduced. Then the mathematical model of the output signal of FOG is established and a detailed testing scheme is designed. The experiment illuminate this testing scheme could describe the dynamic characteristic of FOG through and detailedly.Secondly, the standard value for calculating the error of the dynamic output signal of FOG is provided. Moreover, the dissertation provides methods for evaluate the dynamic characteristic of FOG. As a result, it is achieved to compare the dynamic precision of several FOGs quickly.Thirdly, according to the feature of the dynamic signal of FOG, the wavelet multi-resolution analysis method is picked to denoise actual signal. According to the frequency of the signal, choose the most suitable wavelet basis and wavelet decomposition level to filter the signal, so the precision of dynamic output signal of FOG is improved.Lastly, a software with Matlab GUI for analyze dynamic characteristic of FOG is programmed. The methods to analyze the dynamic characteristic of FOG and the wavelet filtering methods to the dynamic signal of FOG are integrated in the software. This software improves the efficiency that evaluates the dynamic characteristic of FOG in the maximal degree.
