In this paper,the blocking problems of the positive-pressure pneumatic dense phase ash conveying system in Guizhou Ya Xi Power Plant was analyzed and the retrofit schemes were developed.Based on the operating envrironment,fishbone diagram was used to analyze the blocking problems occurred in the installation and operation of ash conveying system.The mechanism of blocking was studied from the following four aspects:system design,facilities and equipments,controlling systems and management.The feasible technical methods to improve the ash conveying system were suggested and the costs were estimated.The final plan was formed according to the principle of getting best effects from minimum facility change.Upon the implement of the final plan,the frequency of system blocking will drop greatly and the ash conveying time will be shortened.The operating and maintenance costs will also be reduced and better economic efficiency will be achieved.
