Based on the thermodynamic theory of " Fuel Specific Consumption Analysis",this paper derives the expression of the second law of the energy utilization efficiency,and describes the second law efficiency of the boilers and the coal-fired power plants.And also,the effect of the economizer and the thermodynamic parameter matching between the boiler and turbine are analyzed in this paper.The results show that the heat exchange in the economizer is the low temperature section of thermodynamic cycle in power plant,so that it is improper to regard it as the economizer.And the economizer is substantively a factor that restricts optimal matching between the boiler and turbine thermodynamic parameters and improvement of the second law efficiency of the boiler and power plant.Therefore,this paper gives a new design idea of the super critical or ultra super critical power units,in which,the design,calculation and analysis is carried out for the thermal dynamic system of a given super critical or ultra super critical power unit,and a theory model of a more energy-saving new super critical or ultra super critical power unit is gained.
