This paper focused on the interaction between the soil and the blocks on new self-drive machine. The advancing depends on the blocks which were set into machines by bionics. The blocks supported the soil and went into the soil to increase the resistance between the soil and machines to support the machines progressing, so that the machine can advance one step by one step with jacks. The paper introduced the current researching involved Shield and Pipe jacking, especially on the interaction between the soil and the blocks, and determined the characters of the blocks as the content of study, contained the number of the block every rings, the number of rings and the depth into the soil. At last, the relationship between characters and the resistance was got.The research adopted a series of model tests by similarity theory, and the model test platform was designed with the messurement system. The orthogonal test was used to arrange the experiments. It can avouch for a fair appearance of all factors and a correct result with the fewest exp times. There were several conclusions obtained from the researches in the end as following:1. The order of factor by differential method: number of rings, number of blocks each ring and the depth into the soil of block.2. To get the best character of the block.3. The linear regression analysis by Enter method to get a formula between the Ff and characters of block:4. In the test, get the law of vertical soil pressure and the horizontal soil pressure below the tube.5. In the test, get the displacement laws of the surface above the tube.6. To get the law of pressure in blocks among increased resistance between tube and soil.
