The quality of public space is an important criterion for quality of life. However, public space in a lot of villages is "dirty, noisy and disorder"now, or there is no public space in fact. With change of production and life, the villagers urgently need to change the condition of space.Beginning with the study on essential characteristics of village public space, this article analyzes its intrinsic characteristic of compound function, and social characteristic based on the influence of economy, politics and culture. The fourth chapter and the fifth chapter separately discuss measures of adaptive reconstruction from function adjustment and space integration by theories of organic renewal and collage city.The fourth chapter discusses function adjustment from function separation, function carding, function implantation, and function replacement. Regarding interfering functions in same space, this article proposes the measure of function separation, while ways of combs the streamline and divide districts regarding farraginous public space. It carries on function implantation to meet new requirements and use for some place, while replaces some function of component and space which were used in the past. At the same time, this article also has paid attention to material factor related the function adjustment.The fifth chapter proposes measures of space integration from the space form, space property, space context and space levels inside and outside villages. In aspect of space form, this article advocates paragenesis of many kinds of space form and emphasizes optimization of space as well as intermediary transition of neighboring space, while proposes a measure of common use and personal management in aspect of space property. This article discusses how to mix old and new buildings and how to inherit culture of landscape, conceives a measure of "culture grafting" for removal of villages. This article integrates the level of space by paying attention to both inside and outside village space. In the process of integration, great attention was paid to old person the child space, and villager participation was especially advocated.
