A large number of projects practice has been proved that, the steel bridge for the hot region, its pavement temperature is often up to more than 70℃, because of the restrictions of material properties, often in raising anti-rutting performance of asphalt concrete while will reduce the crack resistance, it is difficult to counterpoise the relative between the high temperature stability and crack resistance balance. This article consider adopting measures to reduce the using temperature of steel bridge deck pavement layer to some extent, reducing the possibility of the bridge deck pavement rutting disease, which can further take into account the balance resistance relationship of anti-rut and crack, and accordingly improve the steel bridge deck pavement durability. This paper, based on the research of pavement technology for Jiangyin Yangtze River Bridge,a steel bridge in heavy traffic modified by mastic asphalt concrete,looked for the methods to lower the temperature of steel bridge deck pavement layer by studying the property of the materials,This article set up a heat balance equation and the steel bridge deck pavement layer heat conduction inside the differential equations, by the means of analysing the hot environment of the steel bridge deck pavement layer and the significant factors affecting the temperature of the heat balance.Results showed that reducing the hot pavement surface absorption and the thermal conductivity of materials of the pavement as well as improving radiative properties can effectively alleviate the pavement surface temperature is too high. Based on this, the subject applied three ways to study the cooling technology of steel bridge deck pavement such as painting over hot coating in the pavement surface, spreading light-colored gravel at pavement surface; carrying out the design of mixture by using porous aggregate to replace parts of ordinary aggregate.Through the indoor and outdoor experimental study with the coating, light-colored stone, and porous aggregate and the analysis of the principle, it found that the coating applied to the surface of asphalt concrete had a good cooling effect, followed is light-colored stone, and the porous aggregate almost no cooling effect. Finally it evaluated the anti-sliding performance of the pavement after coating surface coating on the asphalt concrete surface, and selected a suitable program for lowering the temperature combined with the actual situation in the project...
