Energy consumption of residential buildings heating occupies sizable proportion in China building total energy consumption. Select a scientific and rational heating mode has a great significance for realize building energy saving and speed up the construction of energy-saving society. At the same time, it be able to effectively improve the living conditions of residents and also be strong guarantee of building a well-off society in an all-round way.Based on the comparative analysis of heating modes evaluation studies at home and abroad, this paper use life-cycle assessment theory which is popular application at present in heating modes evaluation and decision-making, thus construct an evaluation model of residential buildings heating modes which based on life-cycle assessment. This evaluation model includes economic, environmental, energy, social, technological five aspects. Under the guidance of the theoretical model, this paper constructs residential buildings heating modes comprehensive evaluation index system by means of analysis and comparison, impact factors analysis of various heating modes. By comparison of various evaluation methods, the paper select Extension Superiority Evaluation Method as a method for evaluation study of various heating modes. Finally, take Xi'an as an example, this paper use Extension Superiority Evaluation Method to evaluate seven alternative schemes of heating modes from the economic, environmental, energy, social, technological and other aspects. The evaluation result indicates that cogeneration heating mode is the optimal choice of winter heating in Xi'an.The comprehensive evaluation theoretical model, evaluation index system and evaluation method, which are constructed in this paper, have an important guiding significance for comprehensive and scientific comparison of residential buildings heating modes. This research results can be used in other cities' heating modes evaluation and option, and can also provide reference for other similar studies, and provide theoretical basis for relevant policy formulation of government. Believe that this study will be widely used in building energy saving, heating modes comparison and selection and other aspects in the future.
