Study On The Ecological Experience And Regeneration Design Of Traditional Adobe Dwellings In The HeXi Corridor

Now in the HeXi Corridor of China,lots of traditional adobe dwellings still exist and are being used in the country area.These traditional adobe dwellings have a number of advantages,such as:making use of local materials,being constructed simply and so on.In addition,the traditional adobe dwellings also have ecological advantages,for example,warmth in winter and coolness in summer,natural adaptation, non-environmental pollution and so on.However,along with the social and economic development,people's life idea and life style are changing gradually.And traditional adobe dwellings have various shortage, just like poor structural security and poor durability.So the traditional adobe dwellings have gradually been abandoned,and it's being in a shrinking status in the HeXi Corridor.How to deal with the problem that the traditional adobe dwellings in the HeXi Corridor are on the decline?The dissertation concluded that it would be to adopt these following approach to the regeneration and development of traditional adobe dwellings at the local,including analyzing the reasons for its decline,exploring the possibility of whether or not renewable,affirming and summarizing the ecological advantages of traditional adobe dwellings,solving the problems which troubled existence and development of traditional adobe dwellings.Firstly,on the basis of analyzing actuality of the traditional adobe dwellings in the HeXi Corridor,the author summed up the local villagers to use the natural factor and the defense natural method,analyzed the reasons for decline,explored the possibility of whether or not renewable.Then traditional adobe dwellings in the HeXi Corridor were made ecological analysis,and ecological experience were summed up from various aspects,including making use of local materials,natural adaptation in life cycle,climate adaptation, venues adaptation,thermal comfortableness,energy saving,green courtyard and so on.Finally,modern building science and technology were used in improving traditional adobe dwellings,the problems which troubled existence and development of traditional adobe dwellings were solved,and traditional adobe dwellings were guided to be renewable.There are investigation,induction,testing method,simulation method and so on in the dissertation research.Information of traditional adobe dwellings in the HeXi Corridor was obtained through investigation.Ecological experience of traditional adobe dwellings were summaried through induction.In the adobe wall room and the brick wall room,interior temperature and relative humidity were tested,and they were comparatively analyzed in order to display thermal comfortableness of the adobe wall room.Day lighting conditions and heating or refrigeration energy consumption of traditional adobe dwellings were simulated by software Ecotect.The all research indicates that there are various ecological dominance in the traditional adobe dwellings in the HeXi Corridor,like making use of local materials, natural adaptation and so on.So they need to be inherited.At the same time,there are flaw and insufficiency in the traditional adobe dwellings in the HeXi Corridor,but they may be improved and eliminated through using modern building science and technology. So they are possible to be inherited.To sum up,ecological experience of traditional adobe dwellings in the HeXi Corridor should be summarized and researched,and ecological housing concept should be promoted.Guide the villagers to construct and use new adobe dwellings,so the adobe dwellings would be regenerated in the HeXi Corridor.
