A Preliminary Studyof The New Ruralcommunity Design In Hexi Corridor Region

Urbanization is the sign of modernization of an area, and urbanization rate reflects the level of urban modernization. Rural urbanization is one of the urbanization methods. Since the implement of Integration of city and country, rural economy has had a quick development, and the living standard of peasants has been greatly improved, which lead to the fast development of rural urbanization. New construction of the rural areas is the product of this social development.Now, the main problems of new construction of the rural areas lie in the lack of regional architectural features and ecology awareness, and the ignorance of rural production pattern. The basic reason is that there are no appropriate designing thoughts in the plan of the new construction. Therefore, this article studies the design of new rural community in Hexi Corridorregion,work on Tongyi Village, Gaoba County, Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Explore the proper plan for the new construction. Analyzing and studying the origin of traditional rural culture-harmony in human and nature-and the influence brought to the rural environment and traditional life style by starting with features of traditional villages and rural life, we can draw conclusion on the village forming and changing rules, which include the changes of rural life and production style led by the social changes, and the inadaptation of the rural dwellings and environment resulting from the changes of life and production style. According to that, we can find out the general design features, make developing aim, and explore design thoughts of new construction of rural areas. Finally, we undertake the design work on Tongyi Village, Gaoba County, Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, hoping to make a reference to the new construction of rural areas by practical design.
