The Empirical Study On The Innovative Design Of The Architectural Firms In Contemporary China

The architectural firms in contemporary china conform to the trend of the development of internationalization and rise rapidly in the land of china . They create a large number of innovative residential buildings during a decade.At present, academia pay more attentions to the morphological innovation of architectural works, but ignore organized designing behind the works, especially for tremendous amount of residential buildings designed in recent years, they seldom use scientific methods to resolve the formation mechanism of the innovative design. This study attempts to explore organizational mechanism of the innovative design from residential buildings' organizational perspective.Through the substantial empirical study of the architectural firms, I find that the design team, design environment, design process, these three aspects are extremely important to the innovative design of residential buildings. It includes: design teams which formed multi-cultural innovative motivation with academic background, age-level, and reasonable work structure; the personalized environment for innovation is constituted by open office space, disengaged design atmosphere and collaborative design software constitute ;the pre-planning of the project, program design, full communication and the expression of the design, coherent professional innovative quality.This research will conducive to the innovative theory of architecture in depth exploration , but also help and provide a reference for the innovative practice of residential buildings .
