With widely applications of the modern power electronics technology, power pollution becomes increasingly serious. More and more power departments and consumers pay their attentions to the power quality. It is of great practical significance to improve the power quality by monitoring and analyzing power parameters.After surveying similar productions from world-wild manufacturers, a power quality monitoring system is designed by using DSP and ARM. This power monitoring system mainly aims at the requirements of our national electric power industry and satisfies related IEC and Chinese national standards.Chapter 1 introduces the basic concepts and principles of power qualities, power parameters, as well as the engineering background and state-of-the-art of the power quality monitoring systems. In chapters 2 and 3, the design scheme is described in detail. Chapter 4 presents the development of the system software, including the project setup, task arrangement, migration ofμC/OS-II operating system, creation of the functional modules and procedures of the software debug, etc. Chapter 5 gives the summary and conclusions.Compared with other existing power monitoring systems, the proposed system has advantages with good real-time performance, high quality, small size and low cost. This system can satisfy the up-to-date requirements of power quality monitoring.
