China is a big agriculture country where most population still live in the rural area, so the construction in the rural area is very important to a sustainable development of the whole country. Apparently, the way of village construction is different from those of the town.During 1960s-1970s, the birth of series theories on self-organization systems development, such as Dissipative Structure Theory, Synergetics, Hypercycle, Catastrophe, Chaotic Theory and Fractal Theory etc, has enriched our understanding of the nature, society and even the universe. For village morphology, the self-organization theory should have a important inspiration.First of all, summarized origin and main content of the self-organization theory;on the base of it, set forth the enlightenments to village morphology evolution: village morphology have characteristics of opening,non-balance,nonlinear and fluctuation, Environment,economic activities,culture are the important sequence parameters of village space evolution, as a example of gradual evolution is traditional villages morphology.Next, based of the self-organization rules of village morphology, The thesis illustrated village morphology renovation foothold,aim,basic principles and focus-space nuclear, Posed the working method of urban and rural planner in village morphology renovation( interactive,mediation,guided) .Finally, give a example of YanHe village morphology renovation of GuCheng county in HuBei province, linking theory with practices, planning study to two focus-space nuclears-"yahe"and"the village committee"renovation, proposed the specific measures of renovation, Trying to explore the appropriate way about villages morphology renovation in the reconstruction of new rural.
