The urban public transport is a tendency of the city transportation system development, the coordination operation between urban rail transit and bus transit is the important content in the public transport. In order to enhance the efficiency of pubic transport comprehensively, besides the logical network planning and construction scale, the effective coordination between conventional public bus and rail transportation is especially important for the urban rail transportation to function as a backbone.This paper based on Beijing's rail transportation construction and operation, combined the research and practice on the coordination between urban rail transit and bus transit. Firstly, classifies the type of urban rail transit terminal station, and discusses the influence zone and the layout pattern of transfer terminal station, and summarizes the rule of transfer passenger flow, and analyzes the organizing process of transfer between rail transit and bus transit. And then, analyzes influencing factors of mode split, A route choice model based on transit assignment algorithms is proposed, and the distribution rate of passenger flow in urban rail transit terminal station are fixed by route choice model. The example results show that this kind of the splitting model has advantages such as convenient calculation and high precision. Finally, the paper takes Tiantongyuan region in Beijing city as the study object, analyzes the transfer actuality systemic from several aspects such as road network, bus network, passenger distribution and so on. By comparing, points the problem which exists in the transfer between rail transit and bus transit, and puts forward the necessary to optimize the transfer system. Forecasting the transfer passenger flow in Tiantongyuan region using the TransCAD software, and discusses the methods for optimizing the transfer situation between rail transit and bus transit.
