As the development of city's space, and the growth of population, the city is becoming more and more crowded, as a result, the public space of city is decreasing little by little. City plaza is absolutely a necessary place for people's life and interactions. Flora landscape acts as an important role of society and ecology in the urban landscape. As different characteristics, the demands of design is not the same for different plazas. Different flora landscape manifests different connotation of culture , despite the functions of use or the aesthetic, it should not simply considered as "planting trees". However, it is a pityshame that urban plant scenery creation and design is now singular, the space compositions, patterns and colors are similar in every place, and they are not able to give expression to the characteristics and cultural connotations of cities.Taking the flora landscape of city plaza as the research object, this dissertation augments from the theories' dissections and practices, using the theorems of urban design, experimental psychology, aesthetic psychology, ecological theory, botany in landscape and other disciplines, probing the scientific design methods of the flora landscape of city public space, in order to provide guidance to the flora landscape of city public space of Hefei. Around this purpose, this dissertation contains the following aspects:Specified the concept of flora landscape of city plazas, depart from the own material and characteristics of views, describes the art forms and the space composition of flora landscape. Start the discussion on four sides of the design of flora landscape of city plaza: the basic factors makes influence, the principles, the ecological rules and the basic forms, analysis the similarities of the design of flora landscape of city plaza. Using AHP flora landscape, combine with the characteristics of different flora landscapes, contrapuntally analyses and researched the thought and methods of creating flora landscape environments of city plazas.
