Site selection of thermal power plants is a kind of very strong policy comprehensiveness work. This thesis applied the analytic hierarchy process to the site selection of thermal power plants. With a model concerning both mathematical calculation and human experience, this approach not only maintains both merits of the mathematical optimum model and the specialist planning but also avoids the shortcomings of the two traditional approaches. With this approach, we can systematical solve a planning problem concerning both quantitative and qualitative factors, and even deal with the problem with uncertain decision-making factors and also it is easy to indicate the attitudes and biases of multi decision makers. This thesis elaborated the basic theory and the development of analytic hierarchy process; studied how to use fuzzy analytic hierarchy process to site selection of thermal power plants and decision-making synthesis judgment. And applies in the Wei County Power plant selected location plan. This thesis'approach can fit the new situations of the decision-making technique of site selection of thermal power plants problem, with a result , better than other traditional approaches. Have a good trend of development.
