The gear is important part of power transmission,it is used widely in machine.Gear failures will affect work of whole machine.The research of influence factor on gear failure,except gheory analysis, mainly depend on experiment on gear test rig. This paper focuses on monitoring of the gear surface temperature, A new open loop power circulating gear test rig with a lubrication system was developed to monitor online gear surface temperature in real time,under various running conditions,such as load, speed, or type of lubrication change. It is of considerable significance and practical importance for experimental investigation of elasto-hydro-dynamiclubrication parameters.The drive system, hydraulic loading system and lubrication system of gear test rig were designed.It's theory analysis and design calculation were performed, Modeling and simulating of planetary gear transmission box were performed based on SolidWorks,so designing, assembling of parts and transmitting of gears were tested and evaluated. By using SimMechanics toolboxes of MATLAB, SimMechanics model of planetary gear transmission mechanism was built.and kinematic simulation was carried out. This paper developed the methods of thermocouple measurements of the gear surface temperature, and kinematic analysis of planetary gear transmission mechanism. Automation continuous lubrication system were developed to follow the track of gear mesh with single-phase and oil-air two-phase fluid.
