Centrifugal slurry pump is widely used in iron and steel,metallurgy,mining, electricity,coal,building materials and other industries for the transportation with abrasive or corrosive grout,mortar and pulp.Two-phase flow theory based on a lot of the design method,but so far not have a complete set of slurry pump design method, over the years the design of slurry pumps are often designed by the transmission medium of water,resulting in inefficient pump operation,noise,and partial wear serious,resulting in substantial energy and equipment waste.There is an urgent need to understand the internal flow slurry pump to improve the design methodology, improve pump efficiency and reduce pump wear and tear.Experimental study faces large investment and long cycle,such as practical difficulties,a means of experiments,data accuracy and reliability by the test instrumentation and environmental constraints on the internal flow field analysis and the analysis of subtle flow of the limited capacity of institutions.With the rapid development of computer technology,the use of CFD softwares simulate pump internal flow is a very effective means of research besides experimentation,it can quickly and accurately simulate the flow inside the pump.In this paper,ZJ-type single-stage single-suction cantilever horizontal centrifugal slurry pump set up a three-dimensional solid model and divided into a grid, the use of more mature k-εmodels to solve the N-S equations closed.To solve equations,using discrete finite volume method,the pressure to amend the use of SIMPLE algorithm.The use of FLUENT software to simulate the slurry pump at five different flow conditions the internal flow field,has been pumping the pressure distribution,velocity distribution,solid-phase concentration distribution,vortex structure of flow field,particle trajectory and other important information.In this paper,simulation results obtained were analyzed by the slurry pump impeller at different flow conditions and volute pressure inside the flow field, velocity field of the flow pattern;analysis of wear particles on the impact of the impeller of slurry pump performance prediction curves;analysis of every tongue blade adjacent axial flow causes vortex formation;to formulate the sealed working principle of auxiliary vane side of slurry pump,and to analyse situation of particle trajectory;the results for improving slurry pump design provides a theoretical reference.
