With the process of urbanization and motorization continuing to speed up, China is in the critical period of urban traffic structure transition, when a variety of modes of urban traffic will outspread a more intense competition. It is competition as well as cooperation and coordinated development among different modes of transportation that is the most effective approach for urban transportation to enhance its market competitiveness and seek rapid development, thus the research on mechanism for cooperation and competition between urban transportation modes has importantly practical significance.This paper firstly introduces the relevant theoretical basis of the cooperative competition, and analyzes the structure of urban traffic composition, the characteristics of different ways and the influencing factor and so on, which lays the foundation for the research of cooperative competition evolution mechanism. Secondly, with the use of evolutionary game theory, a evolutionary game model for cooperative competition evolution mechanism among different modes of transportation has been build, which is used to study the influencing factor and its evolutionary process. The results show that there are two evolutionary strategies of its local stability in the process of the evolution of the game between urban transport cooperative competition, and evolutionary game process is affected by the initial state.Finally, in order to analysis the interaction affect between the factors of urban passenger transportation system and the trends of system architecture evolution, it takes the passenger traffic as state variables, sets up a corporative competition model of urban transport modes based on self-organization theory and the evolution characteristics of passenger transport system, and the structure and stability are analyzed as well. Based on the system with only two ways, it takes use of MATLAB simulation procedures, gives the self-organization evolution result of under traffic mode corporative competition under different parameters, and cause the results is also analyzed.
