The cased telescoped ammunition gun(CTA) is one of the main development directions of fighting vehicle gun, based on above background,the interior ballistic design and numerical simulation of CTA of large caliber gun are carried out.The main research work are as following:Based on analysing and collecting a lot of technical literature about CTA gun both abroad and domestic,according to the characteristics of the launch process of CTA gun,the simulation tests of an ignition of CTA gun are carried out. With the aid of the high-speed movie camera system,the characteristics of ignition and slide in the guide sleeve of the CTA gun are observed.On this basis, an ignition model of CTA gun is established,and the model is numerically simulated.The calculated values are in good agreement with the experimental ones.On the platform of 105mm gun,the firing tests of interior ballistic of CTA gun are carried out.The concept of twice ignition & serial combustion is used,according to the interior ballistic theory,the interior ballistic zero-dimensional model and one-dimensional aerodynamic model are established.The software of numerical simulation is developed by using Visual Basic language,numerical simulation of Interior ballistic process of 105mm CTA gun is carried out.Characters of bore pressure,speed varied with time and displacement are getted.The calculated values are in good agreement with the experimental data.At last,the influence of different parameters on the interior ballistic performance are studied.
