Cased telescoped ammunition technology is a charge technology that can effectively improve the power of infantry combat vehicles and armored weapons.In this paper,based on the ignition and firing experiment of CTA,the influence of charge structure on the firing characteristics and interior ballistic performance is studied.The main research contents are as follows:According to the special charge structure of CTA,those experimental devices for ignition of CTA was developed,and an experimental platform for ignition of CTA was established.On this basis,the process of ignition and gas flame propagation is studied through the ignition experiment of transparent chamber.Secondly,the ignition and combustion law of cased telescoped ammunition in the initial stage of interior ballistic cycle are studied through the ignition experiment of steel chamber,which provides experimental basis for the charge design of cased telescoped ammunition.According to the characteristics of the physical process of CTA gun launching,and because the launch principle of CTA gun adopts the scheme of secondary ignition and programmed combustion,the interior ballistic process of CTA gun can be divided into two stages.Zero-dimensional mathematical models are established and simulated in two stages.On this basis,the influence of multi-parameter variation on the ignition and interior ballistic performance of CTA gun is analyzed.It has certain reference value for the design of the structure of cased telescoped ammunition gun.Based on the experiments of ignition and zero-dimensional interior ballistic simulation,a one-dimensional two-phase flow mathematical model is established and simulated for the phenomena in the bore of cased telescoped ammunition gun during its firing process.The results of numerical simulation are compared with those of ignition experiment,and the correctness of the model is verified.On this basis,the influence of the length of the igniting primer and the quality of additional quick-burning propellant on the ignition and interior ballistic performance of the cased telescoped ammunition gun is analyzed,which provides a theoretical basis for the development of the cased telescoped ammunition gun.
