In the central air-conditioning system, circulating pump is conveying chilled water in summer and delivering of hot water in winter to air terminal devices. Air-conditioning circulation pump power as a central air-conditioning systems, power consumption is considerable. According to statistics, the central air-conditioning system circulating pump energy consumption accounted for the total energy consumption of about 18%. How to reduce their energy consumption, is a major research problem of the national economic development. In this paper, the energy-saving programs of central air-conditioning system are discussed and focus on studing its energy-saving program circulating pump. Circulating pump to increase the efficiency and expand the scope of its working condition and to improve the reliability of the pump flow must conduct an in-depth research.the theoretical basis from the fluid dynamics in this paper, the central air-conditioning circulating pump use and performance analysis, optimal design and calculation of the pump impeller, use Gambit and UG of 3-D modeling and mesh generation for the entire flow of central air-conditioning circulating pump, and use FLUENT to simulating the flow of the calculation and analysis the circulating pump suction chamber,the impeller and the pressure chamber. Get the Simulation analysis of the speed of the impeller and pump body distribution, pressure distribution and flow diagram; calculate the import and export pressure and impeller torque, get the efficiency curve of the circulating pump in different conditions and efficiency. The after optimization of the efficiency of the circulating pump than the efficiency of the original pump to increase 2.5% by analyzing.At the same time, This CFD technology in the hydraulic pump design can be more accurate understanding of through-flow pump impeller and internal parts of water movement, adjust the impeller geometry of the relevant parameters based on the forecast results of three-dimensional turbulent flow field, can guarantee a good flow pattern within impeller and improve the operation of the impeller region in the whole performance. This is an important value in design, manufacture, operation central air-conditioning circulating pump, and is a great significance in the whole energy-efficient central air-conditioning system.
