Flow assignment is very important to the traffic planning and management. It is also an important interest area of Operation Research (OR). As the traffic flow is closely related to urban congestion, pollution and fare policy, it is critical necessary to model the flow assignment in urban area. The Chinese urban traffic is with the character of multi-modal mixed traffic as different modal vehicle can run on one road with obvious interaction and passengers can transfer from one kind of vehicle to another. This dissertation present the following research works about the flow assignment of multi-modal mixed traffic:(1) In this dissertation, different modes of urban traffic is classified ,the interaction of traffic modes in urban roads is carefully studied and the road mixed traffic resistance function is obtained.(2) In this dissertation , the behavior of passengers transferring from one mode to another is studied, the network structure of multi-model traffic network is modeled by State Transfer Network (SAM) and the relevant algorithm of flow assignment is presented.(3) Based on the model and algorithm of multi-modal mixed traffic network, this dissertation discuss the relationship of bus price variation and the flow assignment equivalent, presents the system optimization mode in the form of bi-level programming to minimizes the sum of the system fare and offers the relevant genetic algorithm .
