Developing the research of the construction rheology of road cement concrete is the crying for the cement concrete pavement design and construction quality control for road. The research discusses the relation between workability and construction performance of road concrete, then compares road concrete with common construction concrete . Through analyzing workability test methods and evaluation indexes of common construction concrete, it chooses collapsed slump with time, VB value with time, vibration viscosity coefficient with time as the workability test methods and evaluation indexes for road concrete. According to the particularity of cement concrete pavement slip form construction, it puts forward the construction performance evaluation methods and corresponding evaluation indexes that can be used in the lab for standing mould performance,density and trowel finish performance. Starting with the material composition and the construction environment's influence, it researches the influence of water consumption, cement consumption, nominal maximum particle size, air content and temperature on the evaluation indexes of workability and the construction performance of road concrete, then gave the relation between workability evaluation indexes and construction performance evaluation indexes while each influencing factors change. The related relations between workability evaluation indexes and construction performance evaluation indexes were established, and try to control construction performance though controlling workability evaluation indexes. Through systematically analysis, the research gives the scopes of workability evaluation indexes, which make the road concrete construction performance optimal. Otherwise, the research preliminarily discussed the construction variability of road cement concrete, measured and analyzed the layer phenomenon of water content and gas content. This study is theory new, the research result is innovative, it plays guiding role in the design and the construction quality control of road concrete.
