Construction Production Safety Accident Statistics Index System Of Innovation And Application Research

With the development of economy and society, the continuous improvement ofpeople’s living standards, people draw more attention on occupational safety. However,there are still many occupational accidents in China, and the total number of the accidentsis still very large. A large proportion of all the accidents are construction accidents. It isvery necessary to establish an index system of construction accidents.In this study, the author summarizes two major problems in the index system ofconstruction accidents in China through literature analysis. The author builds up aframework of the cause of construction accidents by analyzing the classicaccidents-causing theories, and using the framework, we can analyze constructionaccidents in two aspects: construction fields and management of company. Based on theframework, the author builds up two pre-indexes: safety index (SI) and management index(MI), which enlarge the fields of accidents statistic, and can reflect the real conditions ofconstruction safety. Combined with the existing construction accidents indexes, the authorbuilds up the new construction accidents index system including safety index, managementindex, injuries rates and death rates. The new index system can reflect the real condition ofconstruction safety, and using the system, the managers can direct the daily management ofconstruction safety. At last, this systems applied in a construction company successfully.
