In this dissertation,a data acquisition system based on ARM processor and Linux operation system is proposed as well as designed.The system can implement multi-path Data-collection function.This system is designed on an 32bit high performance ARM processor S3C2410X which has advantages of low power and low cost and embedded operation system Linux.It is free and open source.It plays an significant role in the embedded operation system field.The development environment is under Cygwin.It's one of very common tool in developing embedded systems.Embest IDE is used as development tool.The paper can be summarized as follows.The introduction of the basal circumstance of data acquisition system is depicted generally.The characteristic of embedded system is analyzed.The common processor and embedded operation system are given.A hardware and the software cross environment are constructed.The theory of data acquisition is introduced and the construction and function of description of ADC component of data acquisition system is analyzed.The general process and method of the driver of Linux design are described.The design of the software of system is discussed.The configuration,compile, debug and transplantation of Linux kemel is depicted in detail.
