As an important component of the rapid rail network in China and the first patch of passenger dedicated lines, Hefei-Nanjing line is important for the development of "Pan-Yangtze River Delta" region. In ordert to improve power supply reliability, the entire cable is first introduced to replace the traditional methods of overhead lines and cables - overhead hybrid line. Because of the lack of relevant design specification and operational experience, it is necessary to study the rationality of design.In the paper, the detailed design is carried out firstly. The external power supply is choosen and the system operating parameters are obtained. The technical specifications of the main electrical equipment and transmission line are calculated. Compensation devices and neutral grounding program are optimal designed to reduce the capacitance effect.Matlab / Simulink is the utility software for modeling, simulation and analysis of the system. In this paper, the design of power supply system of Hefei-Nanjing passenger dedicated line is discussed based on software modeling. A variety of working conditions are analysed and system design parameters are amended for complementarity.Finally, the field tests of power supply system are carried. The credibility of simulation results and reasonableness of the design program are proved which is used for the guidance of the system operation and routine maintenance.All work in this paper can be used for the optimal design of entire cable power supply system in high-speed railway, and has some theoretical value and practical significance.
