The railway plays a very important part in the national economy of our country. The development of national ecnomy is influenced directly by abilities of railway transportation. Since 1980s, heavy-load transportation had been chosen as one of the main direction of developments by Ministry of Railways. It is an important way to realize heavy-load transportation by using the technology of Multi-locomotive and wireless synchronous control system to operate combined train. On the other hand, there are a large number of railways in mountain area in our country, which have numerous tunnels, curves and steep slopes. It's hard to establish the GSMR there. In order to achieve Multi-locomotive and wireless synchronous control based on the existing equipment, increase the transport capacity and Reduce costs, it's necessary to research a technology of Multi-locomotive and wireless synchronous control Suitable for railways in mountain area. Bases on requirement of the project of Wireless Multi-locomotive synchronous operation and control system for Cheng Du Locomotive Depot, takes SS3B electric locomotive for research project, aims at problems exists in electric double heading at present and characteristics of wireless channel for railway, the paper develops HARQ transmission system for the wireless multi-locomotive synchronic operation.At first, the paper introduces the function and component modules of this system, and discusses the advantage of short-range wireless communication technology. Then the paper presents the system's hardware design, and introduces the wireless transmission module and the interface circuit in detail. In order to improve the reliability of the wireless data transmission, the paper adopts HARQ transmission system. According to the results of Simulation convolutional code is selscted, and the performance of the HARQ transmission system is verified. Subsequently, based on the hardware platform which was presented in chapter 4, the work flow are analyzed in the paper, the the software design of the system are also given. Finally, the paper gives the experimental verification of the system and summarizing of the achievements.
