Experimental Research On Ethanol As Clean Energy For Motor Vehicles

Ethanol fuel is a kind of new type fuel which is renewable,high thermal efficiency and low emissions than gasoline.Now ethanol fuel is very popular both in US and Brazil.China has down up a series development plan of ethanol fuel,thus ethanol fuel has much potential in China market. Contrast to US and Brazil,ethanol fuel development is much slow or backward in China,which is still a pilot project using low proportion gasohol without high proportion gasohol.This paper analyses the history price of international crude oil and ethanol fuel future prospects under the situation of high crude oil price.This paper analyses the two countries history of ethanol fuel development,gets the different features of ethanol fuel and their common development trend.Under the analysis,this paper puts some suggestions to our ethanol fuel development.This paper gives the manufacture technology of ethanol,analyses the physical and chemical properties of ethanol gasoline-blend fuel,and explains their suitibility under the physical and chemical properties.This paper has done some numberical computation about E25,E90,E100 ethanol fuel,which are much meaningful to the experimental research.In order to evaluate their dynamic property,economical efficiency and emissions,This paper introduces some index marks to evaluate them.This paper analysed the experimental research data of E25,E90 and E100.According to the National Standard of engine test in lab,this paper analysed their dynamic property,economical efficiency and emissions,compare to RON93 gasoline.The tests indicate that E25 ethanol fuel is suitable for those common gasoline engines.But E90 or E100 cannot use in those common gasoline engines as fuel unless modifying those engines.The three ethanol fuel can provide the equivalent power compare to RON93 gaoline, economical efficiency down but thermal efficiency up,emissions down too.E25,E90 and E100 ethanol fuel are still studied by domestic researching institutes,so this paper analyses the potential problems consulting some materials abrord such as US or Brazil.And giving resonablesolutions to these problems.
