Ganhe Industrial Park is situated in the Huangzhong county of Xining city, from Lusha'er town 4.5km and from Xining 35km. Due to its Superior Location, which is founded by the government of Qinghai Province in 2002.7. At present, Ganhe Industrial Park has already become the National-level of economic development area. At the same time, Ganhe Industrial Park is a comprehensiveness industrial park, with metallurgy, chemical, timbering, new materials et al. The construction of infrastructure in Park is continuing. Those companies have entry in the early times, which have benefit from it. More and more new companies want to entry the Park. But water shortage is more seriously than before, because all of the enterprises in the Park consumed plenty of water, so the existing water don't meet the requirements of living and production, not only recent development but also long-term development, which will seriously affect the development of the Park and enterprise production. Therefore, it is very important task to study on water resources potential and Water supply program of industrial park. The main content as follows:(1) In the first place, the quantity of water supply and water demand were investigated. According to national standards we checked the total water demand in recent, mid-term and long-term. Finally, we get to the water shortage in the future.(2) The total water resources of the Ganhe, including natural resources (surface water and groundwater), the existing water resources and remainder resources. In addition, we evaluate the quality of water resources. The water volume of available water resources (Diyue source, the Dashimen Reservoir, the Pandao Reservoir, the Xiamacun River) has been calculated by balance measure and area analogy method, and analysis the quantity of available water in different rates, in order to study the development potential of water resources. The ultimate goal—the maximum utilization of water resources.(3) Protecting the ecological environment is the precondition, then comprehensive study on the program of water resources development and utilization, and taking scientific method to use good use of water resources. Finally, the primary program of water supply is provided. The results of this research, which provide rational basis for the water utilization progress, are as follows:(1) In Ganhe Industrial Park, the production and daily life water requirement were investigated. The recent, mid-term and long-term water demands are 13.32×10~4m~3/d, 16.4×10~4m~3/d and 24.00×10~4m~3d respectively, with the shortage being 12.22×10~4m~3/d, 15.3×10~4m~3/d and 22.9×10~4m~3/d respectively.(2) In this Park, the main current available water resources are the Diyue water source, the Dashimen Reservoir, the Pandao reservoir and the Ximacun River, all of which in total have the capacity to provide 13.948×10~4m~3/d water, after ensuring the existing use of water by agriculture. In detail, the Diyue water source supplies 0.9735×10~4m~3/d water to the industrial Park, and also has a production potential of 2.234×10~4m~3/d. At the guarantee rate P = 75%, the Dashimen Reservoir and Pandao Reservoir can supply water resource to the Park, as well as agriculture requirement, with a potential of 9.63×10~4m~3/d to the Park. The Xiamacun River, at the monthly guarantee rate P=95%, has a potential of 1.11×10~4m~3/d provided to the industrial Park.(3) The Diyue source can supply groundwater to Ganhe Industrial Park for living water demand at the recent (2010), medium (2015) and long-term (2020), with the remainder used for industry demand.(4) The current available water sources can satisfy the recent (2010) demand for water. But at 75% guarantee rate, if the reservoirs supply water simultaneously to the industrial park and agriculture, the medium (2015) and the long-term (2020) water demand will not be met, with water shortage of 2.452×10~4m~3/d and 10.052×10~4m~3/d respectively.
