The Research And Implementation On The Multi-function Energy Meter And Remote Meter Reading System

With the development of the society ,the improvement of the people's living standard and the progress of science and technology ,it is the urgent probloerm required to be solved for the estate management company to upgrade and renovate the current energy meter and remote meter reading systerm.This paper has conducted the earnest study on the present theory and technology of the current energy meter and remote meter reading systerm at home And aboard. Design the multi-function energy meter and remote meter reading system on this basis. Including the following parts: energy meter based on AVR ATmega16L SCM and new type Electric energy metering IC BL0930 , indoor display for consumer's consumption information with pre-paid function,serial port server systerm based on AVR Atmega8L SCM and M4000T module, background monitoring and database System. The energy meter saves the information from the water meter and the gas meter while finishing metering energy, and then all the information is transfered to the serial port server through the RS485 bus, the energy meter has the function of pre-paid fee and display. Indoor display based on AVR Atmega8L SCM, connected with JRD4685 LCD and IC card interface can realize the function of the pre-paid fee and the consumer information display through RS485 bus. Which breaks the limit of the traditional constraints for display and pre-paid fee, and it is convinent for the use and management. Serial port network server receives the data from all the energy meters, after encrypt the data, and then send them to the background computer through Ethernet.Through the background monitoring system based on VB6.0 and Access2003, Property management personnel can finish meter reading by the means of manual or automation. In addition, this system also completes functions such as saving, printing, display and so on.,besides this, it also has the function to display the information of the water, electric power, gas by the means of curve, which supplys the reference for the relevant departments to upgrade and renovate the pipe networks and circuitries.Through the experimental research, it is proved that the multi-function energy meter and remote meter reading system is feasible, reliable and practical.
