With the voltage grade and the the automatization and intelligentization requirement improving constantly,automation system of substation has caused the greatly renewal, so the current communication mode of the primary equipment and secondary equipment in substation has not met the need.Especially after the enactment of IEC61850, the primary equipment having towards integration and digitization,many funcations of bay level are transferred to process level to accomplish, making the increasing complexity of the structure of the process level, so the communication between primary equipment and secondary equipment becomes the research focus.However, the primary equipment transformer is the key to, the traditional electromagnetic transducers exposes the shortcoming that cannot be overcame. In order to meet the substation automation system development, it has been developed the new-type electronic current/voltage transducers based on the technology of optics and electron.The thesis which propose to design the hardware and software of the electronic transformer IED based on IEC61850 standard, is for the purpose research and design one kind of power system information acquisition IED which met the need of substation process level. The IED based on IEC61850 standard and embedded technology,based on high-performance, industrial-grade ARMmicroprocessor—S3C2410, used embedded Linux as OS.IED can gathe and merge transducer's sampling data by faste and reliably, which were put out by Ethernet network.This paper firstly analyzes the impact electronic transformer on substation automation system, summarizes the present actuality of electronic transformer in the domestic and foreign, and introduces the structure and principle of electronic transformers. Secondly, it analyzes the digital output's criterion of electronic transformer IED and definites the technique demand of digital output electronic transformer IED. Thirdly, it establishes the electronic transformer IED model according to definition of IEC61850. Based on this ,two parts of the IED which is data acquisition and communication are designed in hardware.Data acquisition uses ADS8364 to digital rebuid to analog of the primary side's current and voltage and uses FPGA to control the ADS8364. Communication uses 10M Ethernet controller CS8900A and S3C2410 to design the data-out model of IED based on IEC61850-9-1. Fourthly, on the hardware platform, it builds the Linux operating system and prepares and debugs the driver and application of ARM boad. At last the thesis summarizes the reseach content and proposes the problem which need to be further researched and resolved.Electronic transformer IED based on IEC61850 standard is available for automation and digitization of substation process level. The returns of thesis paper have important academic meaning and apply worth.
