With the rapid development of electric power industry in our country and the popularization of network in recent years, it is clear that the traditional substation has been unable to meet the current requirements of power system intelligent and network, and promote the rapid development of digital substation on the IEC 61850 standard protocol, at the same time, the research on the power industry is a top priority. Internationally,IEC 61850 is the network communication standard, which can unify the communication interfaces of all equipment unify all the equipment to achieve the interoperability between equipments of different manufacturers, and the exchange of information.It greatly solves the previous problem that the equipments of different manufacturers are difficult to achieve interoperability and information exchange. At the same time, it also makes the communication network of substation automation system more standardized, more convenient for operation and later maintenance. So the Smart Substation Based on IEC 61850 standard has become the inevitable trend of the future development of the electric power system.However,due to the environmental constraints,these make it impossible to test the site equipment to undertake to operating personnel training to solve some of the problems existed in the field, then in this paper, designing an experimental platform based on IEC61850 device, and carrying out the following research work:Firstly,based on the IEC 61850 standard definition, structure and technical features, and combined with the specific example of 500kV Lanxi substation, this paper conducts a deep study on the application of IEC 61850 standard in the digital substation;Secondly,the paper uses MATLAB and FPGA1 to make a simulation for electronic transformer used to output multi-channel signal.The electronic transformer simulation transmit data to the merging unit in the form of FT3 frame format through the optical fiber.The merging unit takes FPGA2 as hardware core for signal receiving and processing,the specific form of the FT3 frame format is analyzed and studied, at the same time, the choice of hardware is also studied;Thirdly, using the merging unit with FPGA2 as the hardware core to transmit the treated data to the C# simulation analysis software which can analyze and display data in real time through the Ethernet with IEC 61850-9-2 protocol,Recording and saving the relevant data, deeply analyzing the IEC 61850-9-2 protocol combined with the 7 layer network model;Fourthly,the experimental platform is analyzed,and this paper makes a investigated research on the function modules, finally has carried on a corresponding analysis with the experimental result.In this paper, this learning platform used to simulate some problems in the real environment which can appear to be solved and operation personnel can learn in convenient through this experiment platform to ensure the safe and stable operation of power system.
