Tire malfunction while car traveling at high speed is what the drivers most worriy about and difficult to prevent as well as one of the major causes of sudden traffic accidents. No matter domestic or abroad traffic accidents occurred especially in highway due to puncture. Experts emphasize that the best preventive measure is to be aware of the insufficient tire pressure in advance and take timely precaution. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is born of the above reasons. It is mainly used to monitor tire pressure automatically and alarm to warn the driver to take measures in time when the tire is in unsafe state so that to achieve pre-protection.This dissertation introduct the development of TPMS system, analyse technical requirements and functional of TPMS, propose a feasible system design program; Tire module adopt integrated chip and low-power technology to ensure the requirement of Tire module such as small size, light weight, small energy consumption; In wireless Tx / Rx circuit design,we give an answer to the debug of RF Tx / Rx chip MC33493/MC33594 and realize the wireless data transmission between tire module and receiving module; System use LCD to display the tire status intime,use Beep and the LED to give sound and light alarm to remind drivers take timely measures; we make full use of the device waiting,sleep function in the software design to reduce the tire module power consumption to the maximum extent and take the modular thought throughout the whole software design process; we carry out Hardware and software comprehensive anti-interference design to ensure system reliability.This dissertation stresses in detail on the The working principle of RF module and its hardware and software implementation,and gives separate software flow charts of the launch and receiving ends. Then focuses on antenna,one of the most difficulties of the system and gets a suitable solution. The test results of and analysis of the system are shown in the latter,pressure testing and road test experiment results indicate that the system has reached the level of car practicality.
