High-pressure common rail injection system is characteristic of freely controlling injection pressure, injection rate, injection quantity, and can implement high pressure injection and multiple injections. The injection characteristic of High-pressure common rail injection system is analyzed by experimentation and simulation in the paper. Several tasks are carried out as follow:(1) Building experiment test bench of common rail system. Firstly, apply gear wheel plate with 120 teeth to design target wheel of crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor, and made common rail system operate on the test bench by ECU and calibration software. Secondly, design the injection rate test system based on the bosch tube method to test injection rate, and also test rail pressure oscillation by rail pressure sensor and data acquisition card.(2) Process the experiment data and study the impact of rail pressure, injection pulse width, pilot injection quantity, time gap between pilot and main Injections, pump rotation speed on injection rate, and also study the impact of rail pressure and pump rotation speed on rail pressure oscillation.(3) Based on common rail system model built by AMESim software and validated by experiment, study the impact of control valve mass and spring preload force, control chamber length, diameter of needle valve oriented shaft, inlet orifice diameter, spill orifice diameter, nozzle path orifice, needle valve mass, needle valve spring preload force and spring rigidity, injection hole diameter and discharge coefficient on injection characteristic, and also study the impact of length, bore diameter and length-diameter ratio of common rail tube, length and bore diameter of high-pressure fuel pipe, pump plunger diameter on rail pressure oscillation.The study benefits the optimization and exploitation of common rail system.
