At present, our country is trying its best on popularizing the large-scale centralized heat-supply system, and has already obtained the good environmental protection, the energy conservation effect in some big or media-sized cities. But residence regional heat-supply system' thermal efficiency is low; the energy consumption of heating load data for load estimation is approximately 3 times of developed country. Therefore the energy conservation work of centralized heat-supply appears extremely important. Changing the existing high energy consumption the centralized heat-supply system is imperative. The research on energy conservation potentiality and environmental protection of centralized heat-supply not only can save the investment, reduce the heating energy consumption, and enhance heating enterprise's economic efficiency, but also can rise reliability of heat-supply system.Basing on reading the massive Chinese and foreign related literature, from the selection of circulation pump shape and optimization design of pipe network diameter as well as operation management and so on, the author mainly has discussed the energy conservation potentiality of the centralized heat-supply. In view of the characteristic of the city heating pipe network the optimization design, Has Established the project actual mathematical model and the objective function. Using the mathematical model has carried on the optimization with the pipe network diameter, and has carried on the fitting with the Matlab language to the water pump performance curve, has made up the general procedure with the C language of the pipe network diameter optimization. Applying the model and the procedure to the pump network diameter optimization in Xi'an thermal energy company first heating station, carrying on the confirmation, through the contrast, obtains the good effect. And has put the theory in the energy conservation transformation project of Xi'an thermal energy company first heating station, proposed the transformation plan, drawn up the construction blueprint, carried on the implementation, and obtained the ideal effect.The results show the energy conservation theory, the pipe network diameter optimization model achieving the operation requirements, gaining the satisfying result, from the energy conservation and the technical angle has solved the question of the high energy consumption of the centralized heat-supply and the optimization for pipe diameter.
