The Expression Of Monument Theme In Landscape Architecture Design

This paper took monumental mind as a focal point, studies the development, characteristics and the type of monument theme. Through tapping into the implication of psychological factor which the monumental phenomenon rely on, the paper included the expression of monument theme and returned the space of appreciation to people about the landscape with monument theme. The paper started from the interpretation of psychology, making clear the origin of monumental mind. Combined with modern monument theme and urban green-land, some principles of monument theme expression were carried out, instead of traditional monument landscape. Besides, the way of monument theme expression in landscape design was brought forward from two aspects, one was the shape of the space and the other was experience of sense organs, followed by some techniques of expression at the end of the study. Through retaining and reappearing the local culture, site memory and monument theme landscape in the gardens, the urban history and culture will be passed on and the connotation of the garden will be enriched.This paper includes part of the contents as follows:1. Explain the definition and the theories of monument theme on the basis of reviewing the study of monument landscape.2. Based on the opinion of psychology and interpreting the monumental phenomenon, expound the origin of monument theme.3. Combined with characteristics of the city green-land, summed up the principles and methods of monument theme expression in the garden.4. Analyzed the living examples in response to the theories of the monument theme expression in landscape architecture design, further defined the paper on the significance and value.
