Monumental Shaping In The Landscape Design Around Nanjing Ming City Wall

As an important part of landscape design,monumental landscape has always shouldered many political and educational purposes,so it is unique.However,with the continuous deepening of the urbanization process,the people-oriented thinking has more and more reflected its value,and the continuous emergence of humanized designs of different professions is its manifestation.In order to meet people’s ever-increasing spiritual needs,a transitional,universal commemorative landscape that does not lose cultural connotation and educational significance is needed.While satisfying the people’s demand for urban green space,it affirms and supplements the national spirit.The relationship between the audience and the object of commemoration has moved from unilateral admiration to dialogue between the two,and this kind of equal exchange can also enrich people’s daily spiritual life.As a historical relic with a huge radiation area,the Ming City Wall of Nanjing meets the standards as a commemorative carrier;secondly,it is closely related to the development of the city and the lives of the people.The thesis takes the Ming city wall as the research object,uses the literature research method to study its historical,geographical and cultural attributes,taps its connection with the people,and raises existing questions about the current situation of the Ming city wall landscape through field investigations.Finally,the method of practical testing was adopted to update the memorial landscape design of the Ming city wall,combined with the model to verify it,hoping to provide some methodological references for the memorial object for the general public’s memorial space design practice.Considering the design practice process,the paper mainly puts forward the following points: 1.The use of interactive node design techniques can allow tourists to have a participatory interactive experience,which is conducive to the shaping and continuation of the sense of remembrance;2.The in-depth depiction of commemorative nature can improve the social impact pf historical relics of architecture,which is an effective way to protect historical and cultural heritage;3.From the perspective of commemorative space design for the people,it helps to optimize the symbiotic relationship between people and design objects,and achieve the affirmation and sublimation of each other’s social values.
